Terms of Service

Effective Date: March 23, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of GQLens (“Service”), operated by GQLens (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

GQLens is a GraphQL schema intelligence platform that provides:

  • Schema discovery and browsing — introspect and explore your GraphQL APIs.
  • Semantic search — AI-powered search across schema types, fields, and documentation.
  • Query validation — validate and auto-fix GraphQL queries against your schemas.
  • MCP server — a Model Context Protocol server that integrates with development tools such as Cursor and VS Code.
  • AI chat — a conversational assistant for exploring and understanding your GraphQL schemas.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. By using GQLens, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

You must register for an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

Account authentication is provided through our identity partner, Clerk. By creating an account you also agree to Clerk’s terms and policies.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or any related systems or networks.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use the Service to transmit malicious code, spam, or any harmful content.
  • Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our prior written consent.

5. Your Content and Data

“Your Content” means GraphQL schemas, queries, endpoint configurations, and any other data you provide to or generate through the Service.

  • Ownership. You retain all rights to Your Content. We do not claim ownership of your GraphQL schemas or queries.
  • License. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use, process, and store Your Content solely to operate, improve, and provide the Service to you. This includes processing Your Content through third-party AI and search providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Responsibility. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of Your Content. You represent that you have the necessary rights to provide Your Content to the Service.

6. Subscription Plans and Billing

GQLens offers the following plans:

  • Free — one GraphQL source, one seat, basic features, no charge.
  • Pro — up to 10 sources and up to 20 purchased seats with flat per-seat pricing, semantic search, AI chat, API and CI integration, and priority support. Billed per seat monthly or annually.
  • Enterprise — custom pricing with unlimited sources and seats, dedicated infrastructure, SSO/SAML, SLA guarantees, and a dedicated account manager.

Payment processing. All payments for paid plans are processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com (“Paddle”). Paddle handles billing, invoicing, sales tax, and VAT on our behalf. By subscribing to a paid plan you also agree to Paddle’s Terms of Use  and Privacy Policy .

For paid plans:

  • Fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis depending on your selection.
  • For Pro, purchased seats determine how many organization members and pending invites are allowed at one time.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice. Price changes apply at your next billing cycle.
  • If payment fails, we may suspend or downgrade your account after reasonable notice.

Refunds. Refund requests made within 14 days of a payment will be honored in full. After 14 days, fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. All refunds are processed by Paddle. To request a refund, contact us at support@gqlens.com or through Paddle’s buyer support.

7. Free Trials

Free and Pro plans include a 15-day free trial. During the trial you have access to the full feature set of the selected plan. A valid payment method is required to start a Pro trial, but you will not be charged until the trial ends. At the end of the trial period, your account will revert to the Free plan limits unless you keep your paid subscription active. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue trials at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, documentation, and branding (but excluding Your Content), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including, but not limited to, Paddle (payment processing), OpenAI (AI processing), Clerk (authentication), Convex (backend infrastructure), Google Analytics and PostHog (analytics), and Sentry (error monitoring). Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective providers’ terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

10. Availability and Modifications

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.

11. Termination

  • By you. You may cancel your account at any time through the Service or by contacting us.
  • By us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. We will provide reasonable notice where possible.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete Your Content after a reasonable retention period following termination.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Sweden.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the “Effective Date.” Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
